1- Today is the first day I went to the river. I lost track of time and ended up sitting, resting with my dog, watching the geese.
2- Finally, they opened the passage leading to George Street. The passage has been cleaned, but students still use it to smoke and graffiti. I always wonder where the doors in the wall of that passage lead.
3- On Sundays, you always hear hymns coming from the church next to my house. I never see anyone coming or going, and the door always reminds me of a cave where if you enter, you might not come out.
4- I met up with Bernard to help him understand his grandfather’s camera. It was Soviet, and I felt like a child playing with something too complex to use. In the end, we ended up walking for a couple of hours and had a beer.
5- Mina always celebrates Sundays. It’s her day to roam free in the forest and play with other dogs. Today, they took away her ball, and she was too slow to catch up with the rest of the dogs in the park.
1- Hoy es el primer dia que voy al rio, he perdido la nocion del tiempo y termine sentado descansando con mi perra mirando a las ocas.
2 – Por fin abrieron el pasaje que lleva hasta George Street, el pasaje ha sido limpiado pero los estudiantes siguen utilizando el pasaje para fumar y hacer pintadas. Siempre me pregunto a donde llevan las puertas del muro que hay en ese pasaje.
3 – Los domingos siempre se escuchan canticos de misa salir de la iglesia de al lado de casa, nunca veo entrar o salir a nadie y la Puerta siempre me recuerda a una Cueva en la que si entras puede que no salgas.
4 – Quede con Bernard para ayudarle a comprender una camara de fotos de su abuelo, era sovietica y me senti como un niño jugando con algo demasiado complejo como para usarlo. Al final terminamos paseando durante un par de horas y terminamos tomando una cerveza.
5 – Mina siempre celebra los domingos, es su dia de ir al bosque suelta y jugar con otros perros, hoy le quitaron la pelota y era demasiado lenta como para alcanzar al resto de los perros del parque.

1 – The magnolia flowers bloomed overnight; the street on the way to the forest has been pink since the first week of April.
2 – Last night, I dreamed of my mother. That week, while the magnolia buds were getting ready to bloom, I found a medal with the Virgin of Carmen. Now I wear it around my neck, and even though I’m not religious, people see it as an act of faith.
3 – On Saturday, I met up with Dan to take Mina for a walk near the river. We spent over an hour playing fetch with her.
4 – Signs of the upcoming summer camps are beginning to appear in the forest. By autumn, the wooden tepees will no longer be there.
1 – Las flores de los magnolios se abrieron durante la noche, la calle de camino al bosque es de color rosa desde la primera semana de Abril.
2 – Durante la noche soñé con mi madre, esa semana, mientras los capullos de los magnolios se preparaban para abrirse encontré una medalla con la virgen del Carmen, ahora la llevo colgada y, aunque no soy creyente, la gente lo identifica como un acto de fé.
3 – El Sábado quedé con Dan para sacar a pasear a Mina cerca del rio, estuvimos jugando a tirarle la pelota durante mas de una hora.
4 – En el bosque empiezan a aparecer signos de los inminentes campamentos de Verano, al llegar a otoño los tipis de madera ya no estarán ahí.
